Workshop Hotel

The workshop will be held at the Silverado Resort, 1600 Atlas Peak Road, Napa CA 94558, USA. Set among the rolling hills of Napa Valley's wine country, the Silverado Resort offers championship golf, a unique and tranquil spa experience, fine dining and a comprehensive meeting and conference center.

Room Reservations

The contracted room rate for CTW 2009 is $160/night. Occupancy tax is currently 12% ($19.20) and the resort fee is currently $20.00, giving a total of $199.20/night.

The resort fee covers the following amenities:

Reservations may be booked in one of two ways:

1. Call the Silverado Resort at +1 800 532 0500.

The reservation cut-off date is 20 April 2009 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time. Mention the IEEE Group when you make your reservation.

To guarantee an individual reservation, a guest must either

1. send a check or money order covering the first nights's room rate plus applicable sales tax and fees,
2. send a signed letter or form authorizing the Silverado Resort to charge the room deposit and applicable sales tax and fees to the guest's credit card,
3. give the guests's credit card information information by telephone.

Guaranteed reservations are held until at least 6:00 AM the following morning, at which time the reservation and deposit are forfeited. Should a guest cancel a reservation, the Silverado Resort shall refund deposits if notice is received prior to 6:00 PM on the arrival date. The Silverado Resort allows name changes without penalty. All guaranteed reservations will receive either written or verbal confirmation from the Hotel. The CTW 2009 dates are Sunday 10 May 2009 - Wednesday 13 May 2009. The special group rate applies 3 days before (7 May 2009) through 3 days after (15 May 2009), based on availability of rooms.

Getting to the Silverado Resort From The Airport

Car Rental: Most of the major US car rental companies have offices at the four area airports listed above. Driving directions each of the airports to the Silverado Resort are posted on the Silverado Resort website: link to driving directions.

Taxi Service: The Silverado Resort is too far from the airports for taxi service to be economical. We recommend either a shuttle service or limousine service.

Shuttle and Limousine Service: The Silverado Resort recommends Evans Transportation to and from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland Airport (OAK). Reservations are required. Follow the "Airporter Schedule" on the left-hand panel of the Evans Transportation website for schedules and rates for SFO and OAK.
